Great location right at the start of the Bikan Historical Quarter. Very easy to find from the train station. Very clean. My husband thought the onsen was lovely. Staff had to use Google translate but that was no problem. Breakfast was very good - a mixture of Japanese and western choices (mostly Japanese which was fine for us).

The best hotel we went to during our 2 week japan trip. - room is big enough and clean - bathroom is nice - personnel is very kind, especially that old cleaning lady, so nice to us I could die for !! I hope she is doing well. - the hotapring was very nice and convenient, there is an outside bath and an inside bath. - free yakult, ice cream and ramen during morning, afternoon and evening : such a nice bonus - there are 2 free massage chairs is a cool room, such a nice bonus too - 3 washing machines and dryers, you have to pay for it but still convenient - hotel next to the main area of kurashiki My recommendation in the area : - for kimono rent : KURASHIKI KIMONO KOMACHI - for a wagyu beef restaurant (best shabu shabu) : KURASHIKI_WAGYU_TAKA on Instagram. They have a flyer in the hotel lobby. The owner is so kind and funny !!

Spacious room just like other Dormy Inn hotels. The onsen was well equipped with a sauna, indoor & outdoor onsen. Washing machines are available and free of charge. Dryers are available too at JPY100 for 20 minutes.

This place was really great. The rooftop onsen is very nice with good hours (all night and morning). The place is very clean. Staff was very kind and helpful. Wonderful value. I'm a simple man, but this was possibly my best-ever hotel experience.

The location and staff were excellent (tourist area, convenience store, bars and restaurants all within a few minute's walk. Hotel food was great - a sumptuous Japanese breakfast and free late-night ramen. Rooms felt a little tired and dated, but the hotel offered excellent services, rooftop onsen, sauna, relaxation room, massage chairs, laundry room, drinks machines, etc. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the reception desk was open 24hrs. Would highly recommend.

The location was close enough to the JR station for connections to the Okayama station for the bullet train. It was also walking distance to the historical quarter and a lot of good restaurants around the area. The hot spring and other amenities were also perfect for relaxing at the end of the day filled with walking and exploring.

Located in the resort town of Kurashiki, the hotel is just about a minute walk to Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. The staffs did a great job to meet all of our various needs. They let us check in before time as we got there a bit early. The room was kinda big with a view of the pretty old town. Plus the hotel roof top outdoor hot spring was also great. They also offered free best homemade peach juice at the lobby. Love it!

Everything is perfect for this stay...location is right by the attraction of this place. Breakfast was excellent in terms of choices and quality.

Everything. Location was perfect, next to historical area, friendly staff, the best public bath in any hotel we have been (indoor and outdoor) with free ice cream and massage chairs, amenities for kids, good sized rooms. it was perfect.

This place is worth it just for the hot spring which is available to the guests. Great value for money generally and the staff are very friendly. We're happy to hold onto our luggage for a several hours on the day of our checkout.
